About the Scholarship

This exciting PhD Scholarship opportunity is within the area of Environmental Science and Chemistry. In this PhD project you will be examining the possible remediation strategies for PFAS (Per- and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances) Compound, with the key focus of the development of catalysis for PFAS remediation. Seeking the development of efficient sorbents for PFAS absorption and catalysts for the degradation of PFAS compounds. Within this PhD you will be expected to conduct laboratory-based research, which will include synthesis, catalytic and analytic chemistry. The PhD will be located at the Swinburne University Hawthorn Campus and you will be required to undertake comprehensive literature review, laboratory based experimental research, develop research plans, design experimental protocol, work both independently and as a team, deliver research outputs including reports, presentations and research publications.
