About the Erb Institute

The Erb Institute for Global Sustainable Enterprise is a partnership between the Stephen M. Ross School of Business and the School of Environment & Sustainability (SEAS) at the University of Michigan. The institute's mission is to create a sustainable world through the power of business. The institute was founded in 1996 as a dual-degree teaching program in which participating students study between the two schools and graduate with both the MBA and MS degrees.

Since its founding, Erb has expanded its work into a full-fledged institute covering research, teaching, and engagement in both social and environmental sustainability. The institute currently has three chaired professors, three postdoc fellows, an administrative staff of five, and nearly 500 dual-degree alumni in 17 countries. Erb's many stakeholders share a deep commitment to the institute's mission, and the Student AffairsCoordinator will be key to facilitating administration and communication among the various groups and external audience members.

About the School of Environment & Sustainability (SEAS)

The University of Michigan's School for Environment and Sustainability’s overarching objective is to contribute to the protection of the Earth’s resources and the achievement of a sustainable society. Through research, teaching and outreach, faculty, staff and students are devoted to generating knowledge and developing policies, techniques and skills to help practitioners manage and conserve natural and environmental resources to meet the full range of human needs on a sustainable basis.


The Erb Institute for Global Sustainable Enterprise seeks a dedicated and organized Student Affairs and Alumni Coordinator to support the Student Affairs and Alumni Manager, with an emphasis on recruiting new students to the MBA/MS and Undergraduate Fellows program. The Coordinator is also responsible for designing and delivering a strategy to support continued alumni engagement. This role serves as the first point of contact for students, alumni and applicants to the program. As a primary point of contact for prospective and current students, and alumni, the Coordinator will represent the institute across the UM campus, at institute events and among our business networks.
