Clinical Research Fellow at Imperial College London

Imperial College London is delighted to offer a postdoctoral scholar position in cardiology. The deadline to apply is January 22, 2020.

This is an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Research Fellow to undertake a three-year fellowship, during which you will carry out a research project which aims to develop and test a more effective algorithm for Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillators. The aim is that this algorithm will be less likely to result in inappropriate therapies from the device and be more reliable at identifying life threatening arrythmias. This work will form the basis of a PhD thesis.

You will be responsible for, identifying and recruiting participants to the clinical study. You will also contribute to the collection and analysis of data and to assist with the writing of reports and scientific manuscripts relating to the work.

You will need a medical degree and experience in clinical cardiology, ideally you should have a national training number in cardiology. You will also be expected to have excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to deal with a wide range of people. In addition, you must have excellent written communication skills and the ability to write clearly and succinctly for publication.
