The Faculty of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences, is the largest Faculty at Monash University, and offers the most comprehensive suite of professional health training in Victoria. We consistently rank in the top 40 universities worldwide for clinical, pre-clinical and health sciences.

The Department of Community Emergency Health and Paramedic Practice (DCEHPP) provides undergraduate and postgraduate courses to students currently working in or planning employment in out-of-hospital and community-based emergency health settings. DCEHPP currently has a contract with the MFESB to deliver a wide range of first aid and emergency medical response training to support the provision of a quality medical first response by fire services in Victoria. The department are looking to employ an Emergency Medical Response instructor who can operate as a member of a small team delivering first aid and emergency medical response training to fire fighter first responders and fire service recruits.

Based between the MFB College in Richmond and VEMTC in Craigieburn and reporting to an engaging and supportive Head of Department, this role will be responsible for classroom based training delivery and associated administration related to your role. A high level of liaison is required with fire service personnel at varying levels of authority on a day to day basis, and you will be supported in the role by the EMR co-ordinator and other sessional team members.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing department who have continually improved since inception. The successful applicant will have a doctoral qualification in the relevant discipline area or equivalent accreditation and standing along with a Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment (TAE) or equivalent.

This role is a full-time position; however, flexible working arrangements may be negotiated.
