Research Assistant at University of Cambridge

University of Cambridge, UK is inviting applicants to apply for a postdoctoral researcher position in cell biology. The funding allows successful candidates to work for two years in the first instance. Applications should be sent before January 25, 2019.

Applications are invited for a Postdoctoral Researcher to continue the work of a recently developed in vitro model system to study mammalian gastrulation and the role that mechanical forces play in this process. The work will be carried out in the laboratory of Professor Alfonso Martinez Arias in the Department of Genetics, University of Cambridge, Downing site in central Cambridge.

The work will suit a researcher who has postdoctoral experience in stem cell biology. Experience with mouse embryonic stem cells is essential and prior experience with organoids/gastruloids, desirable. The candidate must also have experience with transcriptomics (both sample preparation and data analysis).

Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available for 1 years in the first instance.

Once an offer of employment has been accepted, the successful candidate will be required to undergo a health assessment.
