We seek a motivated post-doctoral researcher to work on the hyperspectral remote sensing (remote sensing scholarships) of trees and forests as part of an expanding tree and forest research community at the Open University (OU).

You will lead on and contribute to projects that are developing the use of hyperspectral data for the identification and classification of tree species in urban and non-urban environments; investigating vegetation responses to global change processes; and the early detection of disease in trees.

You will have, or be near completion of, a PhD in a relevant field and should have a strong interest in tree and/or urban ecology. Knowledge of a relevant programming language and experience in analysing large data sets is essential. See the attached Job Description below for more information and requirements for the role.
