Professor Seth Guikema in the Departments of Industrial and Operations Engineering and Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Michigan is seeking a full-time postdoctoral researcher with a focus on climate adaptation and robust decision making.

The Guikema group consists of a dozen PhD, masters, and undergraduate (undergraduate scholarships) researchers. Work in the group is grounded in risk analysis and predictive data analytics, particularly for community and infrastructure resilience.

This postdoctoral position will focus on developing improved robust decision making methods for climate adaptation decision making in developing nations.

The postdoctoral researcher will receive training and mentoring in working with and advising student researchers, in grant writing, in writing journal papers, and in presenting at conferences.

The postdoctoral research will work independently under the direction of Dr. Guikema to develop and improve methods for supporting robust decision making for climate adaptation.

The postdoctoral researcher will also work closely with a broad set of collaborations at partner universities as part of the NSF INFEWS funded grant supporting this position.
