Mphil in Developmental Biology at University of Cambridge

Applicants are invited to apply for a PhD position in developmental biology at University of Cambridge. This position is available for two years. Potential candidates should apply before January 07, 2020.

We are now offering students interested in Developmental Biology the opportunity to explore a diverse range of topics through a new MPhil in Developmental Biology.

During the first two terms, interactive workshops taught by leading developmental biologists, explore a range of topics, including symmetry breaking, nervous system development, nuclear reprogramming, epigenetics and evolutionary aspects of development. These are complemented by techniques-focused workshops ranging from advanced imaging methods, CRISPR technologies, genomic strategies to biophysical and modelling approaches. Together with additional transferrable skills training, the course will prepare students for a future in research.

Students will choose a research 32-week lab research project from one of the many (~50) participating groups, from among seven departments and research institutes. Throughout, the course aims to foster interactions between students and with the local research community, promoting exciting research.
