Applications are invited for a postdoctoral researcher position in spectroscopy to join University of Hong Kong. The funds for this position are available for two years. Candidates are welcome before December 15, 2019.

Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree in Chemistry or equivalent, and a strong background in Nanoparticle Preparation and Small Molecule Synthesis. Knowledge of photochemistry, time-resolved ultrafast spectroscopy, and/or in situ surface spectroscopy techniques is a plus. Fluency in written and spoken English, good organizational and leadership skills, the ability to work independently, a strong sense of responsibility, and self-motivation are also essential. The appointee will work on the research area of photochemistry and electrocatalysis under the supervision of Professor David Phillips and Dr. Edmund Tse. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. At current rates, salaries tax does not exceed 15% of gross income.
