Nottingham French Studies PhD Studentship at The University of Nottingham

A new PhD position in french studies is available at The University of Nottingham. Successful candidate will have funding to work and study for 3 years in UK. Applicants should apply before May 11, 2020.

The Department of Modern Languages and Cultures is pleased to announce a special PhD studentship, sponsored by the Nottingham French Studies journal. The aim of the studentship is to support PhD research in French studies, but PhD projects with a comparative or interdisciplinary element will also be considered for funding.

Modern Languages at The University of Nottingham were ranked 5th in the UK in the 2014 Research Excellence Framework for 'Research Power'. French at Nottingham is internationally renowned for its teaching and research.

French and Francophone literary studies, from the early modern period to the present

Applicants for the PhD must have a good undergraduate degree and Master's level qualification in a relevant area.

This studentship is available from September 2020, for a period of 3 years. The studentship will cover PhD tuition fees at the home/EU rate, plus a stipend equivalent to the AHRC rate (currently 15,009), pro-rata for part-time study.
