International Awards at The University of Oregon Usa

Applicants are invited to apply for a master position. Applications will be evaluated on a continuous basis.

At the University of Oregon you'll find several sources of financial aid for international students at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. Each year the UO awards more than $2.5 million in financial aid and scholarships to international students. Below is a list of financial aid and scholarship opportunities for international students. Incoming freshmen (both domestic and international) who apply by January 15 are automatically considered for the General University Scholarship Program.

For scholarships and work-study, students must apply for admission by January 15. Admission application materials, including test scores, must be received by February 15.

Awarded to incoming freshmen with a 3.90 GPA or higher on a 4.00 scale and a qualifying test score (1450 SAT or 33 ACT).

Awarded to incoming freshmen with a 3.80 GPA or higher on a 4.00 scale and a qualifying test score (1250 SAT or 26 ACT). The GPA requirement is waived for holders of an official International Baccalaureate diploma.

Awarded to incoming freshmen with a 3.60 GPA or higher on a 4.00 scale and a qualifying test score (1220 SAT or 25 ACT). The GPA requirement is waived for holders of an official International Baccalaureate diploma.

Awarded to international students living outside the US who are admitted to the Clark Honors College.

  • Students can only receive one of the following scholarships: UO Excellence, Summit, or Apex.
The ICSP scholarship awardstuition-waiver scholarships ranging from partial to full tuition forup to 15 credits per termeach year. Scholarships apply to tuition only and are based on financial need, academic merit, and the ability to make presentations to diverse groups of people. The ICSP scholarship has a cultural service component that requires students to give presentations about their home country to children, community organizations, and UO students, faculty, and staff. ICSP scholarships are renewable.

ICSP Nascence Scholarship

This supplemental scholarship is awarded to a student from China or Hong Kong who is also a recipient of the International Cultural Service Program (ICSP) scholarship. No additional application is required. The work-study program grants more than 50 work-study awards, ranging from $500-$6,000 each year, to eligible international students with financial need. Students who receive these awards can compete for on-campus work-study jobs during the academic year. Students are not guaranteed on-campus jobs, but opportunities for on-campus employment will increase.

The UO Office of International Affairs grants several competitive cash-based scholarships each year to international students who demonstrate financial need and academic merit.
