The PhD position will be based in the Management Science Division and specifically in the research group Operations Management. The research field is IT-support of engineering and production. The objective is to design, develop and test a digital twin for supporting production and engineering. You will become part of a research team working intensively with design and development of digital twins. The focus for the PhD study will be to scope, model and test digital twins and investigate possible applications and benefits. Candidates should have a two-year master’s degree (120 ECTS points) or a similar degree with an academic level equivalent to a two-year master’s degree. A relevant background could be a master's degree in mechanical engineering, computer science, engineering management, or a degree in other areas with additional qualifications relevant for the responsibilities and tasks.
The scholarship for the PhD degree is subject to academic approval, and the candidate will be enrolled in one of the general degree programmes at DTU.
