An opportunity exists for a Research Fellow to join the department of Immunology within Central Clinical School. The primary purpose of this position is to manage a NHMRC funded multicentre clinical study across both Australia and Sweden. This role will require the Research Fellow to manage the research, technical and quality aspects of the study, including commencement of recruitment at all sites, achieving planned recruitment rates and publication of the trial protocol.

You will provide comprehensive project management for the Pulmonary Fibrosis Ambulatory Oxygen Trial across all trial sites and conduct research and produce conference and seminar papers and publications from that research. You will also contribute to and prepare research proposal submissions to external funding bodies and provide guidance in the research effort of trial staff and junior members in their research areas.

You will hold a doctoral qualification in the relevant discipline area or hold equivalent qualifications or research experience and have experience managing multicentre clinical trials. You will have a demonstrated trajectory of leadership capability, experience in managing the ethics and governance requirements of clinical trials, demonstrated statistical analysis and manuscript and research proposal skills and experience in conducting research involving older people with chronic illnesses, preferably in the field of respiratory disease. Clinical experience in managing people with respiratory disease would be highly regarded.

This role is a full-time position; however, flexible working arrangements may be negotiated.
