The Division of Pediatric Psychology and Division of Hematology/Oncology at Michigan Medicine invites applications for a pediatric psychology faculty appointment within the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Michigan Medical School. The Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Division has an outstanding tradition of achievement in patient care and research in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology and Blood and Marrow Transplantation. We are embarking on a long-term plan to increase psychosocial support and services for children, adolescents, and families within the Hematology/Oncology and BMT programs. The administrative home of the successful candidate would be the Division of Pediatric Psychology, which is comprised of 17 faculty who are fully integrated into pediatric subspecialty areas, and have close and supportive working relationships with both community pediatricians and hospital-based physician specialists. Supervision and training for pediatric psychology postdoctoral fellows, interns, advanced practicum students, pediatric house officers, and medical students is expected. This position is largely clinical in nature, but opportunities will be available to engage in research/scholarly activity that aligns with the overall objectives and activities of the Division of Pediatric Psychology, Division of Hematology-Oncology, the Department of Pediatrics, and the Michigan Medicine Rogel Cancer Center.

Applicants should possess a doctoral degree from an APA/CPA-accredited program and completed internship, postdoctoral training in pediatric psychology, and be licensed or license-eligible as a Psychologist in the state of Michigan. Successful applicants will have clinical experience working with children, adolescents, and families in one or more oncology, hematology, or BMT settings. Evidence of competence in clinical and didactic is expected. Experience in program development, implementation, and clinical research is also desired.
