Research Fellow at University of Surrey

University of Surrey is pleased to invite applicants to apply for a new opening postdoctoral fellowship position. This position is available for 6 months in the first instance. Applications will be evaluated on a continuous basis.

We are seeking a post-doctoral researcher to work on an exciting interdisciplinary project funded by the EU.

The project is aimed at developing large area, nanomaterials based printed electronics devices for RF applications including energy harvesting, RF switches and reconfigurable surfaces. The post holder will work both on nanomaterials aspects of printable inks for conducting and semiconducting layers, and on RF modelling and characterisation. Device fabrication with involve various printing deposition techniques. An experience in screen printing or ink-jet printing would be an advantage.

The project is part of Interreg SURFAS EU programme: The post holder will be expected to contribute to the deliverables, meeting and proposed outcomes. The post holder will have a PhD degree in engineering/physics/materials or related background, and should ideally have an experience in fabrication and measurements of solution processed electronic devices, has worked in a multidisciplinary environment and should be able to discuss their work with researchers outside of their own discipline.

The position is initially for 6 months, funded until 31 May 2020. 6 month extension application of this post is currently in progress. Once the original PhD certificate has been submitted to the local HR Department, the salary will be increased to Level 4.1 (32,236).
