Postdoc Scientist / Postdoc Position at University of Cambridge

A new postdoctoral scholar position in cell biology is available at University of Cambridge. This fellowship is last for 12 months and posible to extend. Applications are welcome before September 26, 2019.

We aim to recruit a motivated and ambitious post-doctoral scientist to work on a research programme on autophagy and neurodegeneration using in vivo approaches in rodents. Applicants will work in the lab of Professor David Rubinsztein

The applicant will require experience working with mice including behavioural testing, core autophagy cell biology assays, tissue culture skills, western blotting, immunocytochemistry and neuronal culture. The applicant must hold a PhD in a relevant subject.

The Cambridge Institute for Medical Research (CIMR) forms part of the University of Cambridge Clinical School and is based in The Keith Peters Building on the Cambridge Biomedical Campus. The Institute provides modern laboratory accommodation and state of the art research facilities

Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available for 12 months in the first instance, with a start date desired as soon as possible.

Once an offer of employment has been accepted, the successful candidate will be required to undergo a basic disclosure (criminal records) check, a health assessment and a security check. Applicants will also require or will need to successfully apply for a Home Office Personal Licence.
