PhD Scholarship in Gnss Real-time Kinematic Positioning

advertises a fully funded 3-year PhD position (expected to start on 1 November 2019 or as soon as possible) to analyze and develop methodologies for real-time kinematic GNSS positioning.

DTU Space is the leading institution of public space activities in Denmark. The mission of the Institute is to conduct research, development, public sector consultancy, education and innovation at the highest international level within the following areas: Space Technology & Instrumentation, Earth Observation & Geoscience and Space- & Astrophysics.

GNSS based positioning is a core field of research within geodesy and navigation, and has been developing rapidly over the last decade as more systems are becoming available and more user require reliable positioning for e.g., autonomous vehicles. The PhD will focus on developing methods for accurate and reliable positioning utilizing multi-constellation GNSS. The PhD will be attached to the new merged division of Geodesy and Geodynamics, which is one of the six divisions comprising DTU Space.

The candidate is expected to perform original research improving Candidates may apply prior to obtaining their master’s degree but cannot begin before having received it.
