Barger Leadership Institute Postdoc Research Fellow

University of Michigan is delighted to offer a postdoc position. This position is open until filled.

The Barger Leadership Institute is a co-curricular unit in the College of Literature, Science, & the Arts dedicated to developing the leadership skills of Michigan undergraduates through engaged liberal arts education anchored in co-curricular activities including student devised collaborative projects, a campus-wide leadership fellows program, work in international contexts and partnerships with campus, regional, national, and international organizations. The BLI Post-Doc will have primary responsibility for developing content for the BLI textbook and BLI Habits materials, guide data collection and analysis for program assessment, assist the Program Manager in supporting Capstone student teams, and assist the Director as needed with strategic initiatives.

This is a one-year term-limited position, subject to renewal.

Collaborate with BLI Director, Assistant Director and Assessment Consultant to develop and implement systematic data collection and evaluation of BLI programming.

Coordinating with permanent BLI staff to develop and implement case study and other engaged learning materials for a new section of ALA 175.

Work directly with the BLI Director to provide research support and content for a BLI Leadership textbook to be developed over the course of the academic year.

Work to develop and implementing tools for assessment of student development.
