Postdoc Position at Imperial College London

Applicants are invited to apply for a postdoctoral position in computer science at Imperial College London, UK. This fellowship is last for 12 months and posible to extend. Applications are invited up to July 11, 2019.

We are seeking outstanding candidates with expertise in image processing, deep learning and machine learning. The ideal candidate be an expert in convolutional neural networks and generative models such as GANS and have experience programming statistical tools in TensorFlow.

The post will be based within the Medical Research Council (MRC) Centre for Global Infectious Disease Analysis and dual affiliated with the Imperial College Mathematics. The mission of the MRC Centre is to be an international resource and centre of excellence for research and capacity building for the epidemiological analysis and modelling of infectious diseases. The Centre has built upon a world-leading research group in the Department of Infectious Disease Epidemiology at Imperial College London to undertake applied collaborative work with national and international agencies in support of policy planning and response across a wide range of emerging infectious disease threats and global health challenges. The Data Science Institute was established in 2014 as a focal point for Imperial College's capabilities in multidisciplinary data-driven research by coordinating advanced data science research for College scientists and partners and educating the next generation of data scientists.

We seek exceptional and technically proficient candidates to utilise the current state-of-the-art from developments in statistics to investigate

Applicants should have a PhD or equivalent in one of the following areas: statistics, mathematics, machine learning, economics, computer science or a similarly quantitative discipline. You will need research experience in Deep learning and Machine learning and experience with modern statistical inference tools such as Stan, TensorFlow, etc.

This post is full time and fixed term for 12 months (successful candidate would need to start in post by October 19) and will be based at the St Mary's Campus, Paddington. Imperial College is supportive of flexible working.
