Applications are invited for a postdoctoral scholar position to join Imperial College London, UK. The initial contract for this position is two years. Eligible candidates should submit the applications before June 23, 2019.

A key aspect of Imperial College's involvement in the project is to assist in the development of tools and approaches that will assist towns and cities in self-funding GI and climate investment programmes, reducing and removing the reliance on subsidies. In order to do this a good understanding of the barriers and enablers for GI implementation, along with understanding of approval and financing processes is required. Therefore, a series of semi-structured interviews with LAs and other professional involved with the development of GI are planned.
This post will assist in the development of the methodology for this, including the ethics approval and undertake the interviews and analysis. The post will also involve interpreting the results in order to make suggestions for approaches and methodologies to assist LA implementing GI. Additionally, the role will involve researching the economic, social and environmental benefits of GI and assisting in developing materials for the project's capacity building programme.
Assist in the development of the methodology for a series of semi-structured interviews investigating the barriers and enablers and approval and financing processes for GI implementation, including the preparation of documentation for ethic approval Undertake a series of semi-structured interviews investigating the barriers and enablers and approval and financing processes for GI implementation with Local Authorities and other professionals involved with the development and implementation of GI Analyse the findings of the semi-structured interviews including transcribing, identifying themes and coding results Write up of the findings from the semi-structured interviews for academic and policy and practice audiences Provide input to the development of approaches and methodologies to assist LA implementing GI based on the findings of the semi-structured interviews benefits of GI and provide this information in a format that is easily understood by LA, policy makers and practitioners Assist in developing materials for the project's capacity building programme This is a full-time, fixed-term position for 1 year, based at the South Kensington Campus.
