PhD Scholarship Neuroscience at Monash University

Outstanding international students are invited to apply for a PhD scholarship in physiology at Monash University. Candidates are welcome before June 01, 2019.

The position is a PhD Scholarship in Neuroscience (includes a 3.5 year stipend + Travel expenses for 3 months in (Televiv)). The project will be principally based within the Behavioural Neuroscience laboratory at Monash Medical Centre with Dr Rachel Hill as the main supervisor. The candidate will be co-supervised by Prof. Bernard Attali, Tel Aviv University and the scholarship comes with travel funding for the student to spend 3 months in Tel Aviv. The specific project is investigating the effects of infection during pregnancy on brain development. Sophisticated electrophysiology techniques will be taught by the host institute in Tel Aviv to understanding how infection can alter the development of firing properties within neurons.
