The Department of Natural Sciences of the University of Michigan-Dearborn invites applications for a full time lecturer in Biochemistry beginning September 2019. This appointment will be a limited-term appointment for one three-year term contingent upon successful annual reviews and based on the needs of the department. Teaching responsibilities are seven courses per year including upper- and lower- level biochemistry lecture and laboratory courses. Summer teaching may be available for additional compensation. Candidates must have a doctoral degree in Biochemistry or a closely related field, and must have experience teaching biochemistry courses, including metabolism and laboratory courses. Preference will be given to candidates who have postdoctoral research experience and who have participated in course assessment. Some service is expected. Although there are no formal research expectations for this position, there are opportunities for collaborative research with faculty and undergraduate students.
