The successful applicant will work with a diverse team of researchers to develop models for assessing the lymphatic transport and cellular interactions of nanoparticles. These models will then be used to evaluate the efficacy of different drug delivery strategies in cancer therapy. The work is part of a collaboration between Monash Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences and industrial partners. The Research Fellow will perform a range of research related activities (including administrative and operational responsibilities) to support the delivery of research program outcomes. Working under broad direction, the doctoral-level position is responsible for performing a range of drug delivery research-related activities in support of a research program exploring parenteral delivery mechanisms and lymphatic transport for nanotechnology.

Conduct in vitro and in vivo studies to understand the role of the lymph in the disposition and absorption of macromolecules and nanoparticles, and to better understand the role of interstitial modifiers (enzymes etc) in this process and the process of access to tumours.

Design experiments including the use of advanced laboratory and technical equipment as well as conducting advanced research procedures.

This role is a full-time position; however, flexible working arrangements may be negotiated.
