Research Assistant at University of Cambridge

Applications are invited for a postdoctoral associate position in sustainable development to join University of Cambridge. This position is available for 2 years. The deadline to apply is March 03, 2019.

The Faculty of Education at the University of Cambridge wishes to appoint a part-time Research Assistant (0.6FTE) to assist with an ongoing ESRC research study: Connecting Water to Global Citizenship via Education for Sustainable Development (CW2GC).

The Research Assistant will be responsible for data collection and data management as well as technical support on the project. Technological skills such as digital archiving and conference organisation and management skills are desirable, as are more traditional research skills such as conducting literature reviews, the collection of research related resources, data collection and analysis skills, and writing and publishing for academic and end-user audiences.

Applicants will have an undergraduate degree in in Education, Sociology, and/or Youth Studies (and/or related cognate fields) with an interest in Education for Sustainable Development, and/or Global Citizenship and/or socio-hydrology. They will also have both research and administrative experience, including experience of data management and data digitization. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, alongside the ability to organise and network. Experience of working in different country contexts would be advantageous.

Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available for 2 years in the first instance.
