Postdoc Position in Super-resolution for Passive Sensing

Imperial College London, UK has an opening postdoctoral researcher position in signal processing. The funding allows successful candidate to work for 12 months. Potential candidates should apply before March 15, 2019.

Applications are invited for one Research Associate in the topic of Super-Resolution for Passive Sensing. The work will be based within the Communications and Signal Processing Group in the Department of Electrical & Electronic Engineering at Imperial College London.

This is a fixed term appointment for up to 12 months. The project will end on 31st March 2020.

The job responsibilities include studying the relevant literature, defining the research problems based on the project descriptions, conducting independent research, reporting regularly the progresses and results in both oral and written format, testing possible solutions numerically e.g. via Matlab simulations, collaborating with other team-members, and writing reports/papers of the research outcomes when appropriate.

If appointed at the Research Associate level, the extra job responsibilities will include helping the project supervisor supervise the involved research team and develop relevant research proposals.

The successful applicant should hold a PhD degree (or equivalent) or be close to finishing a PhD (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering.

The ideal candidate should have a strong background in Mathematics, Signal Processing especially in sparse signal processing and radar signal processing, and Optimisation, and furthermore good programming skills in Matlab. Excellent written and oral communication skills are essential.

Candidates who have not yet been awarded their PhD will initially be appointed at the Research Assistant level within the salary range 33,380 – 35,061 per annum.
