Sydney Vital Pain and Palliative Care Postgraduate Scholarship

Outstanding international students are invited to apply for a PhD scholarship in palliative care at The University of Sydney. Successful candidate will have funding to work and study for three years in Australia. Applications are invited up to February 07, 2019.

A unique opportunity is available for an outstanding PhD scholar to conduct translational cancer research in the area of pain and palliative care.

This Scholarship is funded by a grant from the Cancer Institute New South Wales.

a. This Scholarship is offered subject to applicants having an unconditional offer of admission or being enrolled for full-time studies in a PhD at the University of Sydney.

b. Applicants must be willing to conduct translational cancer research in the area of pain and palliative care.


d. Applicants must be able to demonstrate interest in pain and palliative care.

e. Applicants must be an Australian Citizen, Australian Permanent Resident or New Zealand Citizen.


b. Shortlisted applicants will be required to attend an interview and develop a research proposal.

c. The successful applicant will be awarded the Scholarship on the nomination of the relevant research supervisor.

The Scholarship will provide a stipend allowance of $30,000 per annum for three years, subject to satisfactory academic performance.

No extension will be allowed.
