A new postdoctoral associate position in molecular biology is available at University of Cambridge. This position is closed on February 10, 2019.

The successful candidate will help in the everyday running of the laboratory and carry out research contributing to our scientific programme. The work will include the use of recombinant DNA technology, protein biophysics and biochemistry and cell biology to analyse the fundamental steps of signal recognition in the unfolded protein response.
A BSc degree (or equivalent) in Biochemistry, Molecular Cell Biology or a related field is essential. The candidate must be highly motivated, have great attention to detail and excellent record keeping. Good interpersonal skills as well as the ability to communicate their work clearly will also be very important. Experience with molecular biology techniques, protein expression and purification and fluorescence-based biophysical measurement is desirable.
The Cambridge Institute for Medical Research (CIMR) forms part of the University of Cambridge Clinical School and is based in the Wellcome Trust/MRC Building on the Cambridge Biomedical Campus. The Institute provides modern laboratory accommodation and state of the art research facilities http://www.cimr.cam.ac.uk . As part of the University of Cambridge Clinical School, each Principal Investigator is affiliated to a home department which includes Clinical Biochemistry, Haematology, Medicine, Medical Genetics, Clinical Neurosciences and Pathology.
Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available until September 2022 in the first instance.
