The University of Nottingham, UK is inviting applicants to apply for a PhD position. The funds for this position are available for 5 years. The deadline to apply is February 28, 2019.

The successful candidate will investigate the synthesis of novel MOFs which are capable of binding metal-complexes within, and supported by, the framework structure. Reactions at the supported complexes will be investigated, primarily using single crystal X-ray diffraction, to provide insight into the pathways of reaction processes. The PhD studentship will be based in the School of Chemistry at Nottingham, but the successful candidate will have the opportunity to participate fully with the other partners in the research programme, including collaborators at the University of Adelaide, University of Bern and University of Texas at Austin.
Funding for this position is only open to UK/EU citizens and the 3.5 years studentship will commence in October 2019.
