A PhD scholarship in spectroscopy is available at Uppsala University. Potential candidates should apply before January 31, 2019.

Qualification requirements:To qualify for this position you should have a Master in chemistry or equivalent and have the ambition to specialize in experimental research aiming at the development of polymeric materials for battery applications. Proven practical experience in electrochemical methods and/or organic synthesis is also required. Knowledge in general organic synthesis, reaction kinetics, electron transfer theory, polymer chemistry and spectroscopy (UV-Vis, IR) are meritorious, which is also basic knowledge in computational chemistry.
Good communication skills and interest in working in a multidisciplinary research environment towards common goals is of great importance as well as an in-depth interest in understanding the processes that take place in polymeric battery materials.
You should be highly focused, structured and highly motivated and able to work independently as well as in team. Good collaborative ability is a requirement and previous experience of working in collaborative projects is desirable. You must have very good knowledge in English (verbally and in writing).
