The Lecturer, Future Building Initiative, will be an outstanding researcher with experience and output in both traditional research settings and in working with industry partners on applied projects developing and testing prototypes. The candidate will work in a large team of researchers and require highly developed collaboration skills in order to integrate their research with other parallel streams of investigation.
The successful candidate will be able to integrate future ideas around living in buildings and cities within current and improved architectural technology, design and construction methodologies. This research should be underpinned by an understanding of environmental sustainability. As such, the selected academic/practitioner, should hold a strong independent track record in architectural practice, with demonstrated success in international contexts.
