Applications are invited for a postdoctoral fellowship position in computer science to join University of Cambridge. The initial contract for this position is 24 months. Candidates are welcome before January 24, 2019.

Both projects use a combination of optimisation and data analysis techniques. The focus of APEMEN is to develop methods for modelling and optimising the response of airline schedules for disruptions/delays. The focus of DO-TES is to develop solution approaches for spare part procurement using a combination of modelling, optimisation and data-driven techniques. For both projects the post-holder will help develop prototype software systems which can demonstrate the ability to automatically negotiate, optimise and test robust scheduling solutions.
The post holder will be located in West Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, UK.
Appointment at Research Associate level is dependent on having a PhD (or equivalent experience). Those who have submitted but not yet received their PhD will be appointed at Research Assistant level, which will be amended to Research Associate once the PhD has been awarded.
Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available for 24 months in the first instance.
