The main purpose of the post is to conduct research, in collaboration with Professor David Evans. Additionally, the post includes teaching cover (up to two 30-hour modules per year) on undergraduate and masters level programmes. The post holder will also carry out personal tutoring and project supervision work within the Department of Mathematics. The successful candidate will be expected to publish high-quality research papers, present findings to colleagues and at conferences in addition to directing the work of small research teams including undergraduate and postgraduate students. Teaching duties will include delivering lectures, organising problem classes and act as an academic tutor and run tutorials.
