Postdoc Position in Electrochemistry at University of Cambridge

University of Cambridge, UK is inviting excellent candidates to apply for a postdoc position in electrochemistry. This position is available for two years in the first instance. Applications should be sent before January 08, 2019.

An experienced electrochemist is sought to join Professor Fiona Karet’s laboratory (CIMR) to further develop ion sensors for clinical use.

You should have a PhD in electrochemistry and post-PhD experience in electrochemical sensor research and development, including ion-selective membranes and miniature solid-state sensors for blood analysis.

Experience in medical device and biosensor development under ISO13485 regulations is also desirable.

The Cambridge Institute for Medical Research (CIMR) forms part of the University of Cambridge Clinical School and is based in the Wellcome Trust/MRC Building on the Cambridge Biomedical Campus. The Institute provides modern laboratory accommodation and state of the art research facilities . As part of the University of Cambridge Clinical School, each Principal Investigator is affiliated to a home department which includes Clinical Biochemistry, Haematology, Medicine, Medical Genetics, Clinical Neurosciences and Pathology.

Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available for 1 years in the first instance, but may be extended if funding permits.
