Postdoc Position at University of Cambridge

A new opening postdoctoral associate position is available at University of Cambridge, UK. The initial contract for this position is two years and posible to extend. Applications are invited up to January 01, 2019.

Applications are invited for the full-time position of Research Associate to join the group of Dr Simon Mendez-Ferrer based on the Cambridge Biomedical Campus, Department of Haematology, University of Cambridge.

Dr Simon Mendez-Ferrer’s research is focused on the regulation of the haematopoietic stem-cell niche in health and disease. Blood stem cells reside in specialised niches that allow them to self-renew, proliferate, differentiate and migrate according to the organism’s requirements. The role-holder should demonstrate research laboratory experience in areas that match the interests of our group. Significant experience in haematopoietic stem cell and/or mesenchymal stem cell research is essential. Previous experience working in the role of the bone marrow microenvironment in haematological malignancies will be positively valued.
