Doctorals Students in Bioelectronics at KTH Royal Institute of Technology

KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Sweden is offering PhD position in wireless communication. This position is available for two years. Applications should be sent before January 20, 2019.

Our research and education covers a wide area including natural sciences and all branches of engineering, as well as architecture, industrial management, urban planning, history and philosophy.

The objective of the position will be to take part in ongoing research projects in the group focusing on bioelectronics. The main purpose is to explore fundamental open research problems towards self-powered implantable biosensors. The project targets at developing energy-efficient and ultra-low power architectures for analog, mixed-signal and wireless communications, as well as energy harvesting and power management techniques for providing battery-free solutions.

In order to succeed as an doctoral student at KTH you need to be goal oriented and persevering in your work.

We seek highly motivated and enthusiastic individuals with a master degree in electrical engineering, system-on-chip design, micro-/nano-electronics, engineering physics or similar areas. Experience in IC design and familiarity with basic lab equipment and characterization is highly regarded. Furthermore we assume that the successful applicant is independent, curious and with a raving interest in performing research within this interdisciplinary project. The candidates should be able to work independently as well as in a team. Good knowledge in written and spoken English is mandatory. These qualifications must be highlighted in the application. Evaluation will be based on the scientific quality of the candidate in accordance with the needs of the project.

Only those who are or have been admitted to third-cycle studies may be employed as a doctoral student. The term of the initial contract may not exceed one year and may thereafter be extended. Doctoral students may engage in teaching, research, and administration corresponding to a maximum of 20 % of a full-time position.
