The University of Sydney is pleased to invite applicants to apply for a PhD position in public health. The funds for this fellowship are available for three years. Applications are welcome before January 10, 2019.

This Scholarship is funded by a National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) Centre of Research Excellence grant.
1. The Scholarship is offered subject to the applicant having an unconditional offer of admission or being currently enrolled in full-time studies in a PhD at the University of Sydney.
2. Applicants must undertake research into overdiagnosis and develop and evaluate a range of communication materials and processes

2. Preference will be given to applicants who have published journal articles or other publications in the area of public health or health services.
3. Preference will be given to applicants who hold a Master of Public Health or equivalent postgraduate degree.
4. Applicants may be required to attend an interview.
5. The successful applicant will be awarded the Scholarship on the nomination of the relevant research supervisor.
The Scholarship will provide a stipend allowance equivalent to the minimum Research Training Program (RTP) Stipend Rate for up to three years, subject to satisfactory academic performance.
The recipient may apply for an extension of up to 6 months.
