Postdoc Position/trial Manager Healthy Start Happy Start

Imperial College London, UK has an opening postdoctoral researcher position in psychiatry. Applicants should apply before November 18, 2018.

This post is based within the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Research Unit, in the Centre for Psychiatry at Imperial College London. The post will be based within the Healthy Start Happy Start research team. Healthy Start, Happy Start is an NIHR-HTA funded randomised controlled trial to test the effectiveness of a brief, early parenting intervention (VIPP-SD) in reducing behavioural problems young children. The trial is being undertaken in the UK by an international research team, led from Imperial College London - the Chief Investigator Professor Paul Ramchandani.

The post holder will act as the Trial Manager for the Healthy Start, Happy Start (HSHS) trial described above. S/he will be expected to lead on many aspects of the study and to undertake the day to day management of the trial. S/he will be responsible for all aspects of trial coordination, together with data management and monitoring, to ensure that the trial is conducted to the highest scientific and regulatory standards, as well as delivered to time and within budget constraints.

The candidate is required to hold a PhD in Psychology or a closely related discipline, or equivalent experience in trial coordination or related research.

The post is part-time, 21 hours per week and fixed term until 31st December 2019.

As this post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974, a satisfactory (standard/enhanced/enhanced for regulated activity) Disclosure and Barring Service check will be required for the successful candidate.
