Postdoc Position in Digital Financial Services Cambridge Centre for Alternative Finance

Applicants are invited to apply for a postdoctoral fellowship position in political science at University of Cambridge. Successful candidate will have funding to work and study for two years in UK. This position is closed on November 21, 2018.

Established in January 2015, the Cambridge Centre for Alternative Finance is an international and interdisciplinary research centre dedicated to the study of alternative finance, focusing on new financial instruments and channels of finance emerging outside of the traditional financial system in the areas of alternative financing channels, alternative approaches to credit analytics and alternative payment systems. The Centre is based in Central Cambridge.

The purpose of the role is to support and maintain the national and international reputation of CCAF for excellence in research and teaching. The successful candidate will develop research objectives and proposals for own or joint research and publish externally on select regulatory topics to inform the global regulatory community. The role holder will participate in the overall contribution of the Centre as appropriate.

You should be educated to Master’s or Doctorate degree level in law, economics, political science, public policy or management. You should have knowledge and understanding of financial innovation and regulation and have excellent understanding of the interplay between financial regulation, innovation, competition and consumer protection. You will be driven and committed, demonstrating initiative and self-motivation.

This is a fixed term appointment for one year in the first instance.
