Postdoc Position at Imperial College London

Imperial College London is pleased to invite applicants to apply for a new opening postdoctoral position in endocrinology. Potential candidates should apply before December 28, 2018.

Applications are invited for a Research Associate to join the Division of Diabetes, Endocrinology and Metabolism, in the Department of Investigative Medicine at Imperial College London working with Professor Gary Frost.

This post is funded through the NIHR Imperial Biomedical Research Centre (BRC) in collaboration with Heptares. The post has a broad remit but it will focus on the understanding of nutrient derived small molecule signalling in the gastrointestinal tract. The successful candidate will gain experience of a number of cutting edge techniques from human intervention studies to cell imaging. The expectation is that the post holder will work closely with colleagues at the NIHR and Heptares.

Candidates must have a PhD in Nutrition or a related subject. Candidates who have not yet been awarded their PhD but have sat the Viva will be considered. Ideally, candidates should have experience of nutritional human intervention studies, particularly randomised controlled trials and experience of laboratory techniques such as cell culture. Applicants should be motivated, well organised and able to work effectively as part of a team.

This post is available full time for a fixed term until 30th November 2020.
