Research Fellow in Medicines and Ageing at Monash University

The position, based within the Centre for Medicine Use and Safety (CMUS) Theme, will be working within a multidisciplinary team led by Associate Professor Simon Bell, whose research interests primarily relate to medicines use among older people, particularly psychotropic and analgesic medicines.

This is a 6-month position that will interpret data and draft scientific reports related to the quality use of medicines in aged care services.

To succeed in this challenging and rewarding position, the successful applicant should have excellent written and oral communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to manage and analyse data, prepare reports and draft scientific journal articles. Applicants should have aMasters or PhD, or equivalent professional and medicine experience, in pharmacy, epidemiology, public health, or health-services research. They will also require good knowledge of current issues in geriatric pharmacotherapy and research methods, and basic familiarity with SPSS/SAS statistical software.
