We need to develop improved solar cells to meet future global energy needs in a sustainable way. Printed solar cell technologies may provide the answer, but significant research questions exist to make this dream a reality.

A great opportunity exists to join a multidisciplinary research team and work closely with other research groups and institutions working under the Australian Research Council (ARC) Centre of Excellence in Exciton Science (ACEx) to address this challenge. In this role, you will focus on understanding charge transport and recombination dynamics in solution-processed solar cells made from perovskite and related-materials. Through this work, you will contribute to the development of a deeper understanding of how such solar cells work and be able to apply this knowledge to develop solar cells based on new materials.

In this role, you will conduct research and contribute to the dissemination of novel and impact results through scientific publications, conference presentations and general public engagement. Exposure to occasional teaching in relation to your research project(s) will be optionally provided.

To be successful in this role, it is essential that you have a doctoral qualification in Engineering or Science within a relevant discipline or a closely related field. You will have well-developed planning and organisation skills, as well as verbal and written communication skills, with a proven ability to produce high-quality scientific publications and succinct reports. An ability to solve complex problems and to be a productive member of an efficient and innovative team will also assist you to succeed in this role.

This role is a full-time position; however, flexible working arrangements may be negotiated.
