Postdoctoral Research Fellow at University of North Carolina Chapel Hill

University of North Carolina Chapel Hill has an opening postdoctoral fellowship position in molecular biology. This position is open until filled.

Ideal candidate will have experience and interest in basic science models of HIV or other viral infection, flow cytometry, tissue culture, techniques in cellular immunology, and experience in facilitating translational research at the clinical/basic science interface.

He/she should also be proficient in microscopy techniques and aseptic cell culture.

Preference will be given to candidates with extensive experience in tissue processing, primary cell culture, flow cytometry (including CyTOF) and molecular biology techniques such as chromatin immunoprecipitation, DNA and RNA analysis by QPCR, and western blot analysis.

Opportunities will exist for gaining teaching experience with graduate and clinical research fellows.

Candidates should also have strong laboratory and analytical skills as demonstrated by a strong track record of relevant publications in well-respected journals.

Outstanding communication skills in English are essential for this position.
