Postdoc Position Biology and Disease Mechanisms of Drosophila Axonal Endoplasmic Reticulum

University of Cambridge, UK is inviting excellent candidates to apply for a postdoctoral scholar position in molecular biology. Eligible candidates should submit the applications before October 31, 2018.

We wish to appoint a postdoctoral research associate, funded by a BBSRC grant, to work on the roles of spastic paraplegia gene products in formation of axonal endoplasmic reticulum, and identification of new genes and cellular processes involved in this.

Applicants should have a PhD in a biological science, and previous experience or strong interests in as many as possible of model organism genetics, genetic screens, neuronal cell biology, light or electron microscopy, live imaging, molecular biology, and bioinformatics.

Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available until 30 September 2021 in the first instance.
