Postdoc Position at Imperial College London

A new opening postdoctoral fellowship position in environmental sciences is available at Imperial College London, UK. This fellowship is last for 12 months and posible to extend. Eligible candidates should submit the applications before November 11, 2018.

Effects of Air Pollution on Cardio-pulmonary Disease in Urban and Peri-Urban Residents in Beijing (AIRLESS) is a 650K project led by King's College in partnership with Imperial College and the University of Cambridge. AIRLESS is one of two health based projects funded under the Atmospheric Pollution and Human Health (APHH) in a Chinese Megacity under the NEWTON programme. In this UK-China Collaboration we will utilise novel personal air pollution measurement technologies in a panel of residents selected from two well established cohorts with a wealth of baseline data. We will utilise a biomarker of response approach to determine internal signatures of exposure in panel members across different seasons and we will work with investigators in parallel projects to access highly detailed pollution measurements and models.

The main duties of the post holder are performing data analyses using modern statistical modelling techniques and liaising with research teams of AIRLESS and other studies under the APHH-China programme.

The applicant should have a PhD or equivalent in Epidemiology/Public Health/ Environmental Science or related field with demonstrable experience of data modelling and knowledge of research methods and statistical procedures.

This is a full-time fixed term post for 12 months, based at the St Mary's Campus, Paddington.
