Postdoc Position at Imperial College London

The Electrochemical Science and Engineering Group at Imperial College London is looking to employ a battery experimentalist/modeller to work as part of a larger consortium on the Battery Advances for Future Transport Applications (BAFTA) project which is funded by Innovate UK under the Faraday Challenge. IMPACT is a collaboration between Imperial College London, Aston Martin and Dukosi working towards high power and long lasting lithium-ion battery packs.

- To take initiatives in the planning of research

- To direct the work of small research teams

- To design experiments, identify and develop suitable techniques, and apparatus, for the collection and analysis of data

- To conduct data analysis

- To ensure the validity and reliability of data at all times

- To maintain accurate and complete records of all findings

- To write reports for submission to research sponsors

- To present findings to colleagues and at conferences

- To submit publications to refereed journals

- To provide guidance to staff and students

- To attend relevant workshops and conferences as necessary

This is a fixed term post for 30 months.

Candidates who have not yet been officially awarded their PhD will be appointed as Research Assistant within the salaryA range 33,380- 35,061 per annum.
