Information about the research

Wallenberg AI, Autonomous Systems and Software Program (WASP) is Sweden's largest individual research program ever, and provides a platform for academic research and education, fostering interaction with Sweden's leading technology companies. The program addresses research on artificial intelligence, autonomous systems acting in collaboration with humans adapting to their environment through sensors, information and knowledge and forming intelligent systems-of-systems.

The graduate school within WASP is dedicated to provide the skills needed to analyze, develop, and contribute to the interdisciplinary area of artificial intelligence, autonomous systems and software. Through an ambitious program with research visits, partner universities and visiting lecturers, the graduate school actively supports forming a strong multi-disciplinary and international professional network between PhD-students, researchers and industry. Further information can be found at http://wasp-sweden.org/.

The position is part of a WASP collaboration project between Chalmers University of Technology and Linkping University. The project involves fundamental research on the development of new machine learning models and computational algorithms as well as applied research to demonstrate the usefulness of the new methodologies. To ensure an active collaboration between the two participating universities we will encourage regular research visits between the two involved research groups as well as joint supervision and PhD courses. Additional details on the project organization and research agenda can be found here: http://wasp-sweden.org/custom/uploads/2018/03/WASP_2018_LindstenSvensson.pdf.
