Lecturer in Political Ecology at University of Cambridge

Applications are invited for a lecturer position in geography to join University of Cambridge. The deadline for applying is November 07, 2018.

The Department of Geography wishes to appoint a Lecturer in Political Ecology. This is a fixed-term post, available from 1 January 2019, or soon as possible thereafter, until 30 June 2020.

The position would suit a human geographer with a PhD in the political ecology of some aspect of conservation, environment and development, preferably in the global South. The Lecturer will be expected to contribute to the Political Ecology Group and the Vital Geographies thematic research group.

The successful candidate will hold a PhD, will show evidence of high-quality research publications, and will be an excellent communicator, with previous experience of lecturing and small group teaching. They will be expected to teach in the Department of Geography at graduate and undergraduate levels (including participation in field courses and methods teaching), to examine, and to contribute, as appropriate, to the academic administration of the Department and the University.

Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available until 30 June 2020 in the first instance.
