The Translation and Interpreting Studies Program (http://www.arts.monash.edu.au/translation-interpreting) seeks to fill a six-month teaching position to commence on February 2019, and be based at the Southeast University-Monash University Joint Graduate School in Suzhou, China (https://www.monash.edu/about/our-locations/china). The successful applicant will join other members of staff in teaching Chinese-English interpreting and translation units that form part of the Double Masters in Interpreting and Translation Studies.
Applicants for this position should have a strong grounding in interpreting and translation studies theory and practice and hold a postgraduate qualification in the field. Professional experience in teaching or working in Chinese-English interpreting is required. Familiarity with both Chinese and Australian contexts is essential and an understanding of the NAATI system of certification/accreditation is preferred.
