Senior Postdoc Position at University of Cambridge

We are seeking an experienced Post-doctoral Scientist to develop a state of the art immunology service focussed on monitoring human immunity.

The post holder will specifically be responsible for:

The post-holder will be expected to: undertake research, with a focus on method development, within the overall aims of the Phenotyping Hub, and as part of the research team forming around the re-established Professorship of Experimental Medicine; keep up to date with developments in the field, and present scientific findings through seminars, conferences and publications.

The Department of Medicine is one of the largest in the University, comprising 12 Divisions, each involved in research related to human disease. Principal investigators are a mix of clinical and non-clinical scientists. The Department has a total of about 560 staff (including 27 Professors) and holds research grants totalling in excess of 145m (annual expenditure around 30 million). The Department operates from numerous sites around the Addenbrooke’s Biomedical Campus and is expanding in size and scope. Two current key projects are the Cambridge Institute of Therapeutic Immunology and Infectious Diseases (CITIID), to open in 2018, and the Heart and Lung Research Institute (HLRI), which is in the planning phase.

The successful candidate will hold a PhD in a relevant field and have extensive research experience.
