We are looking to recruit a full-time postdoctoral research associate to join Dr Menna Clatworthy in the University of Cambridge, Department of Medicine (

The laboratory has a particular interest in the role of antibodies in mucosal immunity and inflammation, focusing on the interplay between IgG antibodies and tissue-resident immune cells within the gastrointestinal tract. The appointee will be involved in driving this project, exploring specifically the role of antibody signalling on mononuclear phagocyte biology, with the potential for the researcher to explore their own ideas. The post-holder will also assist in several other projects in the lab and will be required to supervise students.

The successful candidate will have a PhD in immunology. A broad experience of immunological techniques is essential, including multi-colour flow cytometry, transcriptomics analyses, molecular biology techniques, and proficiency with human and murine cell culture. A familiarity with microbiome research is highly desirable. Experience of in vivo colitis models and a home office personal licence are essential for this role.

Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available for 8 months in the first instance.
